IALSE-LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT NATIONAL AWARD

The Indian Association of Life Skills Education has established a Lifetime Achievement National Award in the field of Life Skills Education. The purpose of this award is to honour individuals or organisations that have made significant contributions to promoting life skills education and empowering people to lead fulfilling lives.
The Award includes a cash prize of Rs. 10001/- (Rupees Ten Thousand and One only), along with a Memento and a Certficate. The award will be presented at the IALSE International Conference.
The award will be named after a person or organisation that will establish an endowment fund of Rs. 2/- lakh (Two Lakh) in the name of IALSE.
Eligibility for nomination:
- Individuals or organisations with at least 25 years of experience in life skills education.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting life skills education.
- Significant contributions to the development of innovative programmes, resources, or policies.
- Published works such as training manuals, modules, project reports, activity reports, research papers, articles, book chapters, books, blogs, vlogs, and related materials.
- Work experience as a life skills educator, trainer, researcher, or head of an organisation in the field of life skills education, adolescent development, or youth development.
- Proven ability to mobilise resources for promoting life skills education.
- Collaborative projects undertaken with international, national, or local agencies for life skills education.
- Collaborative initiatives with government agencies and corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes.
The applicant or nominee should meet all the above criteria or at least five of them. Supporting evidence—such as published documents, photographs, videos, certifications, attestations, and similar materials—should be submitted along with a detailed CV.
Criteria for Evaluation
- Impact: The extent of positive influence on individuals, communities, or organisations resulting from the work of the applicant or nominee.
- Innovation: Development of innovative approaches, programmes, or resources for promoting life skills education.
- Leadership: Leadership roles undertaken by the applicant or nominee in advancing life skills education.
- Mentorship: Guidance, training, and support provided to others in the field of life skills education.
- Advocacy: The extent of advocacy efforts by the applicant or nominee in promoting life skills education.
Application/Nomination Process
- The invitation to submit applications/nominations will be issued by 10 December 2025, and the submission window will remain open from 15 December 2025 to 15 January 2026.
- A detailed CV, letters of recommendation, impact statements, and evidence demonstrating the applicant’s/nominee’s innovation, impact, leadership, mentorship, and advocacy should be submitted along with a covering letter.
Selection Process
- The Search Committee appointed by the Executive Committee of IALSE will evaluate applications/nominations based on the eligibility and evaluation criteria.
- The top five applications/nominations will be shortlisted for further review.
- The committee may recommend three names for the final decision of the Executive Committee (EC) of IALSE. If the recommendation is not unanimous, the majority vote of the committee members will be considered.
- The Executive Committee of IALSE will select the awardee from the list recommended by the Selection Committee.
Timeline
- December 10, 2025: Application/Nomination period opens
- January 10, 2026: Application/Nomination period closes
- January 15–20, 2026: Review Committee evaluates nominations
- January 25, 2026: Award recipient notified
- February 2026: Award presented at the International Conference on Life Skills Education
Application Guidelines
Applications or nominations must be submitted along with detailed CV, thesis synopsis, letters of recommendation and other relevant documents. All documents must be submitted both by email and as hard copies. The last date for receiving the applications (by email and by post) is 10th January 2026.
