Prof. (Dr.) M. K. C. Nair, D.Sc. is a nationally and internationally recognized expert in Developmental and Adolescent Pediatrics, with a distinguished career spanning over four decades. Currently serving as Director of the NIMS-Spectrum Child Development Research Centre at Nims Medicity, he is also Emeritus Professor at Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education and the Kerala University of Health Sciences, where he previously served as Vice Chancellor. As the Founder Director of the Child Development Centre (CDC), Kerala, Dr. Nair pioneered innovative screening tools like the Trivandrum Developmental Screening Chart (TDSC), which is now integral to India’s national child health program, RBSK. With over 215 publications, 27 medical books, and a D.Sc. from the University of Kerala—the first awarded to a medical professional in 80 years—his contributions have set national benchmarks in healthcare, education, and research.
