Dr. A. Radhakrishnan Nair, President of the Indian Association of Life Skills Education and Director of Global Givers Foundation, Thiruvananthapuram is a leader in the field of Life Skills Education in India. With an illustrious career spanning over three decades, he brings unmatched expertise in education administration, youth and adolescent development, and social welfare. As the Founding Head of the Department of Life Skills Education at the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development—an Institute of National Importance under the Government of India—he has played a key role in shaping life skills education strategy across the country.
Dr. Nair has authored several books, training manuals, and research publications, and is the team lead in developing standardized Life Skills Assessment Scale, widely used by researchers and institutions across India and abroad. He has also served as the Managing Editor of the International Journal of Life Skills Education and successfully guided numerous Ph.D. scholars in the field.
His wide-ranging experience includes key leadership roles in NYKS, as Registrar of the Central University of Kerala, and curriculum development for social science programmes addressing youth, tribal, and marginalized community issues.
Currently a Visiting Professor at Assam Don Bosco University, Guwahati, Dr. Nair is also a sought-after trainer, researcher, and academic mentor. His legacy is defined by practical programme development, deep policy insight, and an unwavering commitment to empowering communities through education and life skills.
