The Indian Association of Life Skills Education (IALSE) commemorated its 15th Foundation Day on 29 December 2025 through an online celebration held via Google Meet. The event brought together IALSE members, educators, researchers, practitioners, and invited guests from across India and abroad to reflect on the organisation’s journey and reaffirm its commitment to advancing life skills education.
The programme featured insightful addresses by IALSE office bearers highlighting the association’s growth, achievements, and strategic initiatives during 2024–25, including national and international collaborations, new academic and training programmes, research initiatives aligned with NEP 2020, expansion of membership, and the launch of national awards and publications.
The Foundation Day Lecture and Chief Guest address underscored the critical role of life skills education in empowering learners, promoting gender equity, strengthening ethical and critical thinking, and addressing contemporary challenges faced by children and young adults. Speakers emphasised the need for institutionalising life skills education within curricula, teacher training, and assessment frameworks, while encouraging multi-stakeholder collaboration.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, marking the occasion as a meaningful milestone in IALSE’s ongoing mission to establish life skills education as a robust, multidisciplinary academic and practice-based field in India and beyond.
